3 POINT SHOOTING CONTEST

1. Officials - There will be an official at the wings of the front court to make sure the shooter stays behind the arc.

2. Setup - There will be 3 racks of 5 balls (2 in the corner and 1 at the top of the key). A perfect score in a round is 18. A shooter will start from one corner and after finishing that rack, moves to the top rack. After completing the top rack, the shooter then moves to the remaining corner that the started. Shooters will have 45 seconds to complete all three racks. Each made shot counts as 1 and the final ball on the rack counts as 2.

3. Time Limits - From the sound of "Go", the shooter will receive 30-seconds to shoot fifteen 3-point attempts by completing all three racks.

4. Scoring - Each made shot counts as 1 and the final ball on the rack counts as 2.

5. Rounds - There will be 2 rounds. In the first round, the two highest scoring players will advance to the final round. In the second round, the highest scoring player will be determined winner of the competition. In the case of a tie among top players in either round, a one rack 10 second tie-breaker round will be played from the top of the key and will be repeated until a winner is determined.

6. Eligibility - You have the be a 9th through 11th grade student to compete in this competition. There will be a limit of 10 in this competition.
